Amitayus Statue in Copper

Amitāyus, known as the Buddha of infinite life, is an archetype that represents longevity, wisdom and boundless vital energy. He is depicted seated in meditation with a vase of the nectar of immortality in his hands. He is associated with practices for prolonging life and removing obstacles to health.

Once purchased, the statues are consecrated. What does this mean? The term consecrate comes from the Latin consecrāre: con- (together or wholly) and sacrare (to make sacred, to dedicate to the sacred). It is a ritual through which an object becomes a spiritual support, attributing value to practice, and a special moment in which the statue is given "life", filling it with small rolled mantras, substances and symbols. This is done by Lama Norbu, the master of the centre. For this reason, delivery may take an additional 2 to 3 weeks.
