Introductory meditation retreat

  • 13–15 Nov 2026
  • 2 nights · 3 days
  • 14/32 spots available

What it involves

Our hectic pace of life, our obligations, rushing from one place to the next... all too easily get in the way of a direct and balanced relationship with our present. If you have come this far, it is because you want to give yourself time. Small revolutions begin by breathing... and closing your eyes.

This weekend is designed for enjoying the silence and calm that come with this extraordinary place and for a first introduction to the path of self-knowledge and meditation. Making the most of the excellent conditions of the setting, and through attention exercises, we will slow down the speed of our mind.

How it works

Through an introductory workshop on meditation and self-knowledge we will learn some of the basic principles of meditation. There will be suggestions for rooting attention in everyday activities, as well as free time to enjoy the surroundings. Participants will be able to practise meditation with guidance and on their own, and to find spaces of quality silence and connection with nature.

Objectives

  • Introduce sitting meditation and meditation in movement, offering a clear foundation so that participants can continue the practice in their daily lives.
  • Foster mental stability and clarity, cultivating mindfulness as a way of recognising the changing nature of thoughts and emotions.
  • Introduce the foundations of the Buddhist path, showing how meditation is a tool for developing compassion, wisdom and a more conscious relationship with ourselves and with others.

The activity is guided by meditation instructors with solid experience accompanying people in their practice, both on retreat and in everyday life. They have devoted years to the study and practice of meditation, and they share what they have learned in a simple and approachable way, with an emphasis on offering useful tools to deepen the meditative experience and each participant's personal process.

Who it is for

  1. People with no experience of meditation.

  2. People looking for a relaxed approach to meditation, without the demands and depth of a strict retreat.

  3. People who want to find spaces of calm and silence in a natural setting.

We do not offer this option during the cold months, to ensure suitable conditions and that the retreat can be followed properly.

However, if you are experienced and have the equipment needed for a safe and comfortable stay, you can contact us to discuss taking part this way by writing to info@casavirupa.com.

Rooms may be mixed by default. We try to avoid it whenever possible, but the final allocation will depend on the number of registrations and on room availability.
